Behind the scenes: My product creation formula (Part 1 of 3)

Hi Reader,

The other day, I was talking to a friend about what we should talk about in the upcoming newsletters.

My friend suggested that I share with you how I create a product. I wasn't sure you'd be interested in that, but he assured me that people are curious about how I spend my time and all the steps involved in putting a program together.

Plus, doing so will provide helpful tips for other creators and allow people to peek behind the curtains to see what the Great Oz is up to.

I laughed and said that the "Great Oz" and I both have giant heads (this only makes sense if you've seen The Wizard of Oz), so I'd do it.

Thus, today I'm sharing how I select a personal development program to build and how to take nothing and turn it into something extremely valuable.

First, I find a problem that people want solved today. That can be tricky because although there are plenty of challenges in the world, most who complain about them do little to solve them. So, you must be proactive in discovering how to improve this issue in a manner that causes others to have the courage to take action rather than hesitate when the opportunity to find relief presents itself.

I have a bit of an advantage, as people come to me with their personal and professional challenges regularly, and share their most private thoughts, deepest pains, and also their most beautiful goals and dreams, in hopes that I will help them attain them, which I do.

Another practical approach is to find a way to solve a problem that you have or currently face. If you have an issue, others likely have the same problem, and they need a guide to help them through it, which can be you.

I wanted a cure for my chronic anxiety and lack of confidence. When I finally found it, I realized that most of us struggle with this in some form, so I began writing down and recording my personal journey and what I, along with my clients, were doing to experience newfound confidence, courage, and drive.

The second step is to break down the big problem into smaller steps or milestones to solve. It can feel overwhelming to climb a mountain, but if you set a goal of climbing the first twenty feet, it suddenly feels more doable.

Let's say someone comes to me feeling debilitated by a barrage of negative thoughts that are causing tremendous stress and pressure in their life. They're having trouble sleeping, they are procrastinating on taking action to improve their situation, and sometimes the fear is so gripping that they can't even function.

To stop negative thoughts and replace them with a more empowering and reassuring mindset, the first goal is to upgrade the core unconscious beliefs that drive the fear-based thoughts. It's like pulling the root of a weed out of the ground, but that's only step one.

The second step, or milestone, is to create an emotional reset, because when you chronically worry, your body becomes flooded with cortisol and adrenaline, which are stress hormones.

These stress hormones fill your body with inflammation, which is like having hundreds of tiny fires throughout your body that drain your energy systems, destroy gut health, lower immune resistance, and weaken the heart. When people say they are 'afraid of feeling afraid,' they are referring to the physical reactions experienced when their fight-or-flight response is continually triggered.

The solution is to flush the body with dopamine and serotonin, which are like 'peace and joy' wash for your brain (technically, they are neurotransmitters). You can release a tremendous dose of these natural brain chemicals into your body simply by going through a hypnosis session.

Doing so puts out internal fires, rejuvenates the body, and recharges the mind. That's why I refer to my hypnosis sessions as a "mind massage" or "getting high on Hypnosis" rather than turning to sugar, nicotine, or alcohol. Hypnosis has only positive side effects, helping you feel mentally, physically, and emotionally stronger and more secure. But that's just the second step.

The third milestone is to improve your daily narrative. We walk around talking to ourselves all day long, and even when we're sleeping at night, although we call that dreaming.

What you're saying to yourself is being influenced by those unconscious beliefs we discussed first. It's like looking through a pair of sunglasses. The color of the sunglass lenses influences how you feel. It's called priming. If you have bright-colored lenses, you will view the world in a sunnier way. If you wear dark sunglasses inside the house, the world will feel dim and risky.

Therefore, we need to elevate our self-talk and shift our focus. For instance, if I asked the average person what they want in life, they will tell me what they don't want and describe how they don't wish to feel.

"It would be nice not to have so many bills anymore." "If you could brainwash me to not want to murder my spouse in their sleep tonight, that would be great!" "If I could lose 50 pounds I'd be happy."

To attain a goal, one must move towards something, rather than away from it. When we walk, we walk forward. We don't walk backwards. When you drive, you stare through the windshield because that's where you're going and not through the rearview mirror at where you've been.

When attaining goals, you're not trying to lose weight. That's a side effect of developing healthier habits and nurturing a flexible and energetic body that you hope will eventually fit into those clothes hidden in the closet that you refuse to donate.

Your goal is not to murder your spouse, although that is helpful when attempting to improve a marriage. But, instead, to shift the expectations holding you prisoner, free yourself from emotional buttons that continually get pushed, and improve how you communicate in the situation to bring about more of what you desire.

Improving your self-talk is like planting flowers after you've pulled the weeds. The more flowers you plant, the more it upgrades the soil, making it more conducive for growing future flowers.

One of the biggest challenges people face when trying to improve their behavior is relapsing back into old patterns under pressure. It's why somebody who smokes will get cancer, quit smoking, go through radiation therapy, go into remission, and then one day start smoking again. How could that be possible?

People lose 50 pounds and feel amazing, and then six months later, they gain 60 pounds back and go into a deep depression. I was obsessed with why that is and how to prevent it.

The most profound realization was that people were not updating the deep, unconscious beliefs buried in their brains. They merely cut the top off the weeds, and eventually they grew back.

The first three steps in this process are essential for improving a positive mindset and overcoming constant negative rumination, but there's another crucial step.

Step four is to create a reinforcing environment. The information and energy that surrounds you daily heavily influences how you think and feel. Richard Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, said that if you take the average salary of the five people you hang around with the most, you can predict what your salary will be. "You are who you hang with."

I grew up in a blue-collar family. All the dads, including my own, were tradesmen, and most of my family worked at steel mills. But I wanted to work for myself and had zero role models for this.

Since I didn't have any business owner friends at the time, I bought hundreds of programs and books and devoured them. Every time I went for a walk, took a drive, or did chores, I listened to audiobooks on topics ranging from improving sales and marketing to leadership, self-confidence, having happier relationships, and strengthening my faith.

I wasn't watching sports or playing video games (no judgement if that's what you enjoy doing). I was training myself to develop new skills and the discipline to follow through on goals. That led me to attend seminars and make new friends who had similar goals and ambitions. I immersed myself in that environment, and it upgraded my life.

So, those are the four milestones that need to be completed to attain the larger goal of developing a voice in your head that's more optimistic, supportive, proactive, resilient, and encouraging.

However, there is a fifth milestone that many skip: obtaining outside feedback, because you cannot recognize your own blind spots. When people go through these four milestones and then still get stuck, it's because they have a belief or a way of communicating with themselves that they have not identified.

Getting outside feedback from people who have already achieved what you want to attain or who are also going through similar challenges and can sometimes see the issues more clearly in others than themselves is incredibly useful. You can spend years figuring it out on your own, or you can get it figured out in minutes when you're talking to the right person.

Here is a review of the six steps for ending constant worry and negative rumination:

Step 1: Upgrade the foundational beliefs (the root of the issue)
Step 2: Create an emotional (and physical) reset
Step 3: Upgrade your self-talk
Step 4: Create a reinforcing environment
Step 5: Get feedback from a trusted source to discover and resolve blind spots (unconscious belief conflicts).

Here is a review of the five steps for creating a product/program:

Step 1: Find a problem people want to solve.
Step 2: Break it down into smaller milestones
Step 3: Solve each milestone
Step 4: Make each step seem simple and logical to attain
Step 5: Make it feel easy to do and stay focused on the benefits

In part two of this series, I will share how I build products and deliver them to customers. In part three, I'll reveal how I get the word out so people know this product is available.

If you found this newsletter valuable, please reply YES and share any thoughts or feedback that you might have, because I really value your opinion and ideas.

Thanks for reading and have a productive day!

CLICK ON 'VIEW IMAGES' How to Strengthen a Positive Mental Attitude and Start Playing to Win! Most people think of negative thoughts as harmless background noise. But they shape how we feel, how we act, and even the opportunities we see...or miss. Neuroscience shows that our brains are wired with a negativity bias, which means bad experiences and worries stick more strongly than good ones. Add to that the constant exposure to stress and negativity in the world around us, and it’s no wonder so...

It's so important to just sit down and talk things out with others if you want to strengthen relationships and trust. I received takeaways like... "I don't see myself as a high achiever, so I figured it wasn't for me." "Giving feedback feels like having to do homework, so ask for your likes and dislikes...

CLICK ON 'VIEW IMAGES' Note from Tim Hi Reader, In my last message, I sent a request asking for feedback on my new Elite Mindset Blueprint landing page, and to see if you'd like to jump on a quick call to see how I can serve you best. I have thousands of people in our High Achiever Community, yet only two responded and scheduled a call. Normally, people wouldn't share that type of feedback because they want to project an image of success. But that doesn't interest me. What I'm curious about...
