The “successful-person trap" - have you fallen into it?

Reader,

This weekend, I hit a classic "successful-person trap."

My Google Ads tracking broke. If you’ve ever dealt with tech glitches, you know what happens next: You burn hours chasing the fix, talking to reps, scanning 'help' videos, and trying every workaround.

My brain is calm and focused in these situations now, BUT in the past I used to run the loop of:

“I’m losing momentum. I should have this figured out by now. How much money did I just waste? Why is this so hard?”

That’s the Decision Tax. It’s the mental and emotional energy people bleed out when trying to white-knuckle your way through a problem that just needs a fresh set of eyes.

My son was in town, so instead of "grinding," I asked him to take a look. Within 20 minutes, it was resolved, which admittedly surprised me and provided tonight's message (win-win).

The lesson wasn’t about the tool. The lesson was about Calibration & Collaboration.

Most of the high-performers I work with are stuck, not because they are lazy or broken, but because they are trying to solve a high-level "ROE distortion" (Return On Effort) with more g0-nowhere hustle.

Tomorrow at 6:00 PM EST, we stop that cycle.

We are starting the One Shift Away Mastermind. This isn't another course to "watch." It is a 6-week container where we identify your hidden constraints and install the micro-shifts that make your current strategy finally pay you back.

It's a live experience that upgrades the beliefs, strategies, and systems to make what you're already doing...work!

  • When: Tomorrow, Monday, March 2nd @ 6:00 PM EST.
  • The Investment: $997.
  • The Deadline: Enrollment closes at 5:00 PM ET tomorrow.

If you feel like you’re doing all the right activities, but the bank account isn't reflecting the effort, you don't need a new funnel. You need a group of driven, high-performing experts to lean on for support and a fresh perspective, and that's what you'll get in this experience.

Your micro-shift for this week is to get outside feedback or support for whatever goal you're tracking down. Not only can it save you a tremendous amount of time, it could lead to a whole new set of possibilities you might not have come up with on your own. That's the most exciting part of this!

I’ll see you in the room tomorrow night.

To your success,

Tim

Reader, Most people have studied success from a distance. They’ve read the books. Watched the videos. Highlighted the quotes. Taken the notes. And for a little while, they feel inspired. But then real life shows back up. The prospect says, “Let me think about it.” The calendar is empty. The proposal doesn’t close. The blank page stares back. The next level starts requiring a version of confidence, clarity, visibility, or follow-through that doesn’t always feel available on command. And that’s...

Good morning, Reader! Do you ever feel like you're working hard, putting in the effort, and still not getting the return you desire or deserve? You're not alone and you're effort may not be the problem. You're showing up. You're putting in the hours. You're executing the strategies that are supposed to compound. And yet there's this gap between the effort going in and the results coming out, which may feel crushing given everything you're bringing to the table. That gap isn't a hustle...

Hi Reader, It’s Friday evening. And if your week felt anything like the weeks many high-achievers are having right now, there may be a part of you that feels ready to close the laptop, grab a blanket, and pull it over your head. The economy is struggling, there's so much happening in life, and many are racking their brains trying to figure out where their next customer is coming from. But before you fully disappear into weekend mode, I want to share something that may be exactly what your...
