That “I’m Running Out” Feeling… Flip It Today (+ Wednesday Webinar)

Hi Reader,

If this is your first time getting one of these messages from me, welcome!

Each Sunday, I send a micro-shift, which is a small change in the way you frame a situation (often just one sentence) that creates a big change in how you feel, what you do, and the results you get.

It’s not about forcing positivity. It’s about redirecting stressful thoughts into more useful ones using creativity and the power of your unconscious mind, so you can advance through life with more calm, clarity, and joy.

Below are two examples for how you can get your SHIFT together this week:

Micro-Shift #1: “I'm running out!”

For many years, I had a dreadful fear of running out of money. Even when I had more money in the bank than ever before, my stomach would knot up thinking that I could suddenly lose it all.

Limiting beliefs around money are common and also the #1 abundance blocker. You can be "doing all the right things" and still feel stuck when scarcity paradigms are running the show behind the scenes.

Recognizing and shifting these beliefs is essential to creating true financial freedom. Otherwise, that mythical number you think will create the peace you desire will always feel just out of reach.

For some, it's not money but the fear that “I’m running out of...time, energy, health, love, patience, 2nd chances, or opportunities.”

Those thoughts turns life into a shrinking room. You rush, grip, and panic because scarcity flips your nervous system into emergency mode.

Here's the micro-move that shifted (and removed) my fear:

Shift -> “I'm not running out. I’m running UP!”

What “running up” means:

  • You’re not at the end, you’re on the approach.
  • You’re building momentum, not losing ground.
  • You’re stacking reps, skills, clarity, and resilience.
  • You’re closer than you think because you’re moving toward, not away.

Try this today:

Pick one area where you feel “running out,” and finish this sentence:

“I’m running UP because I’m already doing ___.”

Micro-Shift #2: “It’s too overwhelming.”

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, but remember that feelings are often generated by our internal thoughts, which we can modify at any moment.

For example, my business would take over my entire life if I allowed it. At any given time, I used to have 23 tabs open on the Chrome browser and 12 more tabs open in Safari. Having 35 tabs open in your brain simultaneously is too many!

In fact, my youngest son looked over at my laptop once and exclaimed, “Dad, what are you doing? Why do you have so many tabs open?”
I said, “Because that’s how many things I have going on all the time.”
It stressed him out just looking at it.

When I stopped to figure out what belief was driving that behavior, I realized I was telling myself I’d forget to do something important if I closed anything.

So I shifted the belief into: “I got this. I prioritize importance and eliminate distraction.”

Then I closed all the tabs but two… ok… three.

And guess what? Not only did the speed of my laptop processing increase, so did my focus, calm, and productivity.

Belief upgrade: the opposite of what I feared occurred. I thought closing tabs would make me miss something important, but instead it made me more present, more effective, and less stressed. That’s what happens when you upgrade a hidden rule in your mental operating system.

Try this today:
Close tabs until you’re down to two… ok… three, then ask:

“What’s the ONE activity that matters most today?”

Reader, This weekend, I hit a classic "successful-person trap." My Google Ads tracking broke. If you’ve ever dealt with tech glitches, you know what happens next: You burn hours chasing the fix, talking to reps, scanning 'help' videos, and trying every workaround. My brain is calm and focused in these situations now, BUT in the past I used to run the loop of: “I’m losing momentum. I should have this figured out by now. How much money did I just waste? Why is this so hard?” That’s the Decision...

Reader, If you’re busy, read this once: Your results won’t get predictable until your internal operating system does. Right now, a lot of high performers are running this belief without realizing it: “I won’t have peace until I get better results.” Sounds normal. Sounds responsible. It’s also the reason you feel like you’re working hard… and still not getting the payoff. Because when peace is “after results,” you live in pressure. And pressure creates expensive patterns: you overthink instead...
