(VIP Achiever Newsletter With Mind Architect, Tim Shurr) One of the reasons The Intruder is so difficult to recognize is because it sounds rational. Maybe even... responsible. It says comments like:
In fact, they seem intelligent. That's what makes The Intruder so convincing. It doesn't just use fear to hold you back. It can also slow you down with doubt. Think about how often you've replayed a conversation in your mind. "Why did I say that?" "I shouldn't have shared so much." "I probably sounded stupid." Or maybe you've wanted to apply for a new position, start a business, ask someone on a date, push to give yourself a raise, or finally pursue a dream that's been sitting quietly inside you. Then the Intruder voice shows up: "What if you fail?" "What if people judge you?" "You need to learn a little more first." "You're not ready." "Maybe next month." “What if things get worse?” The Intruder doesn't always keep us trapped with fear, but with delay. "Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." James Instead of interpreting that verse as a warning, view it as an invitation. Refuse to allow fear to disguise itself as wisdom or mistake hesitation for discernment. Peace isn't found by thinking longer… …but through taking the next faithful step forward. ‘Return to Peace’ PracticeThe next time you catch yourself overthinking something today, pause and ask: "Is this wisdom... or is this fear wearing a wise mask?" Then ask one more question: "If I truly believed I was loved, supported, and guided... what would I do next?" You don't have to figure out your whole future today. Just ask those questions and take the next logical step. “If you don’t step out of the fire, you will get burned.” Until then...choose peace over catastrophizing and remain in the present. Hi Reader, Over the past few days, I've been paying closer attention to something I call The Intruder. If you missed my last email, The Intruder is the fearful, critical voice that quietly convinces us we're not enough, that we have to prove ourselves, or that something terrible is about to happen. The strange part is that after listening to it for years, we begin believing it's our own voice. I've been noticing something else about it. The Intruder rarely stays with the facts. Instead, it...
Hi Reader, For the past few months, something has been bothering me. I’ve been listening to intelligent, talented people share the same struggle in different words. “I’m exhausted.” “I’ve lost my edge.” “I know what to do, but I don’t do it.” “I don’t even recognize myself anymore.” At first, I thought they needed a new belief or to become You 2.0. But lately I keep wondering if it’s something even deeper. Most people don’t have a motivation or a confidence problem, which they often believe...
Hi Reader, I had one of those moments today where I just sat there kind of stunned. Normally, I’d use AI like this: “Help me update SEO on my website.” “Give me a list of meeting planners for nursing associations.” “Help me organize outreach.” Basic assistance. Useful, but still me doing most of the work. Today was different. For the first time, the platform started actually doing tasks instead of just helping me think through them. It felt like watching a small team of robots work while I...
